Day Trip to Monte Marcello

Before you get lost in the village, head towards theMontemarcello Regional Natural Parkin the morning while you’re still fresh. At the end of the village’s main square (Piazza Figoli) there’s a brick staircase (classic brick red): going down leads to the village, going up leads towards the park. Within a few minutes’ walk you’ll find yourself immersed in thetypical Ligurian landscape: olive trees climbing the terraces, dry-stone walls on one side and cliffs dropping to the sea on the other. Ahead of you the sea, and in the background theisland of Palmariaand theisland of Tinowith its famous lighthouse in plain view.

Tellaro hides thousands of hidden corners:caruggi (the typical narrow Ligurian alleys) between the houses, balconies and terraces overlooking the sea. Take your time to lose yourself inside the village and get all your photos from just the right angles.

Tellaro - Caruggi sul mare

At every hour of the day the sun will change thecolours of the village’s coloured housesand create unique plays of light between the cliffs, the sea and the perched village. You’ll be amazedat every little corner, discovering small nautical details and plants on every balcony.

Tellaro - Porticciolo

Lunch in the Village

Coming back down from Montemarcello you can stop again at the main square andpick up takeaway foodfromIl FornoorLa Barca Bistrot. You’re free to head down and eat by the sea under the Church of San Giorgio or on the small panoramic terrace near the oratory (we’ll leave the pleasure of finding this spot to you).

Tellaro - Fiascherino

Fiascherino

A few minutes from Tellaro (10 minutes on foot from the village centre) is the beautifulFiascherino beach. Two small bays separated only by a small headland and by the “Stella”, a group of rocks accessible on foot from the shore. Two sandy beaches (not easy to find in Liguria) tucked beneath pink-streaked cliffs. We recommend enjoying this natural spectacle especiallyoutside the summer season, away from the crowds of holidaymakers at the seaside.
Grab a towel, a cold beer or a good glass of wine and just relax in the sun, no rush, enjoying the lapping of the waves.

Sunset over Tellaro

There are countless spots to enjoy a breathtaking sunset in Tellaro, but few compare to the Trigliano cliffs. To reach the cliffs you have to pass through a very narrow alley between the houses. There are no other signs to help you figure out where to go, but you’ll see that this is exactly the right path to take.
